The Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's report include several items relevant to the work of the University, including the establishment of a national research program “to advance understanding of reconciliation” (no. 65).
Following on Dr. Leroy Little Bear's talk in February 2016, we invite you to an initial discussion on reconciliation and research, with guidance from FNMI Director Martha Many Grey Horses, among others, and open participation from researchers. Please join your research colleagues on Wednesday, April 6 in Anderson Hall 100 (Andy's Place) from 12:00 p.m. noon to 1:30 p.m. to help identify challenges and to share stories of successful research. Graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and community members involved in aboriginal research projects are welcome. If you have any questions about the session, please contact Hector MacIntyre in Research & Innovation Services at hector.macintyre@uleth.ca
