With news stories coming in from around the world about civil war, territorial disputes, transnational terrorism, and political instability, students face a great challenge. How does one take on the enormous task of becoming educated about what is happening? With a sea of information and multiple news sources creating opposing narratives, it can feel overwhelming to someone who wants to be an advocate and doesn’t know where to begin.

The 2024 Student Led Conference “Conversations About Global Advocacy is a collaborative effort to create a platform to address these issues. The event is designed to empower students and communities with tools to become informed, make practical steps towards impactful change, and strengthen systems of support.

The conference is a series of keynote speakers who will help begin the difficult conversations about global issues, and a collection of hands-on workshops with skill-building activities. This free event welcomes all students and community members who wish to develop their knowledge and skills as global citizens and advocates.

Tickets are completely free, and include attendance to the event, free lunch, and a swag bag.
