This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The RiboClub was founded in 1999 by researchers at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Université de Sherbrooke.  RiboClub holds a seminar series that brings together RNA biologists, aimed at promoting the study of RNA evolution, structure and function.  The Alberta RNA Research and Training Institute has a strong relationship with RiboClub, and we video conference the monthly seminars here on the University of Lethbridge campus.

This month's presenters are, as of this posting:

François Bachand lab

Speaker: Caroline Telekawa, M.Sc. student
Title: Global profiling and functional characterization of post-translational modifications of the fission yeast RNA exosome

Hanadi Sleiman lab

Speaker: Danny Bousmail, Ph.D. student
Title: Precision spherical nucleic acids: synthesis and biological applications

Marlene Oeffinger lab

Speaker: Pierre Bensidoun, Ph.D. student
Title: Investigating the fine-tuning of nuclear pore composition for regulating rRNA and mRNA export in yeast

Mark Bayfield lab
