Records management training opportunities

Records Management is offering the following training sessions. Space is limited and registration will be prioritized for people who can attend both sessions.

Introduction to Records Management - Dec. 12, 2016

In this course, participants will learn the records management basics necessary to fulfil their records management responsibilities, including how to identify University records, how long they need to be retained, and proper disposition methods. This course is appropriate for all staff and faculty. 

Managing Physical Records - Dec. 14, 2016

Description: In this course, participants will acquire the tools necessary to establish an office recordkeeping system that supports the effective management of University records. Participants will learn how to dispose of University records in accordance with the Records Management policy, transfer records to the University Records Centre for storage, and send transitory records and student work to Records Management for shredding.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Records Management
