Music at Noon Series - Dr. Gary Reeves, horn (University of South Dakota); Dr. Deanna Oye, piano

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Dr. Reeves' performance will include primarily works for horn and piano or unaccompanied horn by Twentieth Century composers.  What is special about these works is that they remain tuneful, tonal works suited for the melodic, singing qualities of the horn.  While so doing, they employ the full resources that horns and hornists found at their disposal by this time period.  A special feature of the program will be a work for two horns performed by Dr. Reeves and Dr. Thomas Staples (faculty).  Dr. Deanna Oye (faculty) will perform on piano.
