Thinking about a professional career in technical work for live performance and/or film and television? The Department of Drama is pleased to offer an online Stage Etiquette workshop hosted by IATSE (Local 212).
Hosted by President Damian Petti and Education & Training Coordinator Trisha Weeks, this workshop has been developed by industry unions and taught by industry professionals. It is a must for those considering film and television careers in addition to live performance. The workshop will cover who reports to whom, do's and don'ts on location and job expectations. Safety issues and on-set vocabulary will also be discussed.
Upon completion of the workshop, you will receive a Stage Etiquette Card. One must complete the Stage Etiquette workshop in order to apply to become a Permittee. Once Permittee Status is established, the individual is eligible to receive calls for work in live performance and film and television.
IATSE - 'The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees' is a union that represent virtually all behind the scenes workers in the entertainment industry.
