The Lethbridge and Area Cricket Association has invited University of Lethbridge President Mike Mahon to try his hand at cricket on Saturday, Nov. 29 as part of RBC Sports Day in Canada celebrations.

Everyone is invited to attend the 2 p.m. event and watch Mahon, along with Mayor Chris Spearman, Councillor Joe Mauro and Susan Eymann, executive director of the Lethbridge Sports Council, try out the cricket pitch.

The event begins with brief speeches, followed by a basic coaching session from local experts. The fun starts with a 5-over game for children and prizes for the best players. An adult game follows and then the facility will be open for everyone to try.

Bring your sports shoes to this free cricket tryout event at the Orion Indoor Sports Facility located near the airport. Drivers should head south on Highway 5 and turn left (east) immediately after the Lethbridge airport. Follow the winding road and Orion can be found next to Airport Pick-A-Part.
