As described on the City of Lethbridge website “Reconciliation Week in Lethbridge occurs during the week of September 22nd which is the anniversary of the signing of Treaty #7 in 1877. Treaty #7, is an agreement between Canadian Crown and First Nations in Southern Alberta. Reconciliation is about creating shared understanding and building strong-relationships and respect between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples."
