Douglas McCullough is a recognized professional scenic artist and teacher of scene painting theory and techniques, with over 50 years of experience in the design industry. He gives an artist talk about using your own creativity to generate ideas.

Biography
Douglas T McCullough is Professor Emeritus of Drama at the University of Calgary. He is a recognized Professional Scenic Artist and teacher of scene painting theory and techniques, with over 50 years of experience in the design industry. He holds an MFA in Stage Design and MA in Theatre Arts (Directing) from Northwestern University. McCullough’s design experience ranges in certification from set, costume, lighting, and scenic art, and has contributed to over 280 productions in theatre, musical theatre, opera, television, ballet, modern dance, contemporary dance, and jazz dance, throughout Canada, USA, and Europe. He has also consulted on various architectural projects, is a published poet and author, founding member of the Prairie Collective, and fine art painter with over 200 works in private collections.
