good grief – and other things
Kasia Sosnowski is originally from Calgary, Alberta. She moved to Lethbridge in 2007 to pursue a degree majoring in Art History and Museum Studies at the University of Lethbridge but also completed a BFA degree in Studio Art.
Sosnowski won the Roloff Beny Foundation Photographic Award in 2013 where she developed a photo series titled "Inheritance" where she travelled to Poland tracing and documenting her Dziadek's life using his own camera. She finished a preparatorial practicum at the Walter Phillips Gallery in Banff in 2015 -upon completing her practicum she attended the Banff Centre as part of the Late Fall BAiR residency program (Banff Artist in Residence) in 2016 where she began to explore ceramics as part of her practice. In early 2016 she moved back to Lethbridge where she currently lives and works.
Her exhibition titled, "good grief", is on view at the Gallery at Casa from September 8 to October 19, 2018.
