ART NOW - Kendra Wallace Speaks November 6th, 2015 at Noon in the Recital Hall

Born in 1966 in Edmonton, Alberta, Kendra Wallace lives and works in Montréal, Québec and in Limousin, France. She studied at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in, Halifax, NS. (BFA) and at l’Université du Québec à Montréal, QC. (MFA).

Wallace’s work uses photography and video as a way to engage with sensory perception, focused on details and observations that arise from direct experiences with nature. She is concerned with seeing in terms of how the body perceives light, colour and movement and how this relates to the boundaries of photography. Her photographs have been presented recently at exhibitions in France at Galerie des Marches, Aubusson, and la Cite internationale de la tapisserie, Aubusson, in Germany at the Gallery of HBKSaar, Saarbrücken, in Montréal at Galerie B-312, and Galerie Simon Blais, and in Victoria at Deluge Gallery and Winchester Modern.
