About
Dr. Sharon Pelech's degrees include a BEd (University of Alberta), MEd (University of Lethbridge) and PhD (University of Calgary). She is an Associate Professor of science education and curriculum at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and spent over 18 years as a secondary science teacher in the NWT, Northern Alberta and Calgary.
Teaching Interests
Teaching interests include science education, curriculum theory and history, place conscious pedagogy and ecopedagogy.
Research Interests
Sharon's current research projects include interpretive (Hermeneutic) research and philosophy in relation to curriculum and pedagogy, Science Education, Ecopedagogy, Place Conscious Pedagogy, Beauty and Aesthetics in Science Education.
