This August marks the arrival of the first Gakushuin Women's College summer program to the University of Lethbridge.
Please join us in welcoming 22 students from Gakushuin Women's College from Tokyo, Japan. During their one month visit, students will be taking English Language classes, participating in Canadian Culture discussions, engaging in activities around Lethbridge, and touring Southern Alberta.
The program is a part of a new agreement which sees the two institutions develop study abroad programs, exchange students and faculty members and promote cooperation in academic activities. Signed by U of L President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Mike Mahon, and President of Gakushuin Women’s College, Yasuharu Ishizawa, the agreement was made official in March 2014.
Thank you to all those involved in this special program. Once again, we wish our visitors the very best of western hospitality during their stay with us in 2014!
