The 2017 year will be filled with special events and activities. First on the calendar is the Founders’ Day Weekend on Jan. 13 and 14.
WE’RE INVITING THE WHOLE COMMUNITY TO HELP US CELEBRATE! JOIN US FOR FOUNDERS’ DAY WEEKEND, TWO DAYS OF FESTIVITIES AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN.
Everything kicks-off with a FREE BBQ lunch in the Atrium on Friday, January 13th at noon.
In addition to the activities planned by the University, the Faculty of Arts & Science has many initiatives and events planned throughout the year. To start, we announced the UL50 Golden Jubilee Award which will have a positive impact on five deserving students. We will announce events and initiatives over the coming months, but for now we wanted to inform you about our Founders’ Day Weekend activities!

PUBlic Professor Series: 5-Minute Edition

The PUBlic Professor Series: 5-minute Edition, is designed to showcase the diversity of research interests within the Faculty in an entertaining format. Each of 10 influential and emerging researchers, our professors, will have five minutes and a maximum of 20 PowerPoint slides to do a presentation on their research. The slides will automatically advance every 15 seconds, requiring the speaker to keep pace. Learn more.
Tailgate Parties: Let's Pack the Stands!

FREE FLEX PASSES with a donation of a non-perishable food item. Passes are good for basketball or hockey games this weekend. We also have some fun noisemakers (tambourines) available (FREE) for all children (as well as those who are kids at heart). Contact Sheilah to arrange pick-up.
