On March 1, 2022, the Government of Alberta removed the public health requirement to wear masks while in indoor spaces. Before the Alberta government made this announcement, ULethbridge announced it would maintain its masking mandate until the end of the semester, which concludes May 5, and that following this date, masking would be optional.

ULethbridge continues to strongly encourage masking to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The University is a mask-friendly environment, and we ask that you respect the decisions made by all members of the campus community.

The University continues to encourage students, faculty and staff to adhere to all measures to ensure campus safety in relation to COVID-19 including vaccination, good hygiene and staying home when unwell.

ULethbridge will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate future changes as appropriate.
