The ULSU Spring Health and Dental Opt-out is open for newly enrolled students or students who have upgraded to full-time status. If you are registered in 3 or more classes, you are a full-time student and automatically registered in the ULSU health and dental benefits.
If you have alternate insurance coverage you may opt out of the ULSU benefits. TO OPT OUT YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE OPT-OUT FORM ON THE BRIDGE. You can find the opt out form under the student page on your Bridge account. You must provide proof of your alternate insurance provider to opt out. The benefits are $246.48 for health and $146.21 for dental and the coverage runs until August 31,2023.
THE DEADLINE TO OPT OUT IS JANUARY 19, 2024
Any fulltime students from September are NOT eligible to opt out this semester.
IF YOU ARE NOT OPTING OUT YOU CAN ACCESS THE BENEFIT INFORMATION AT studentvip.ca/ulsu OR ulsu.ca OR COME BY THE STUDENTS' UNION OFFICE, SU180
If you are a part time student or have family members who need benefits you can add onto the ULSU benefits. For add-on information please contact Shelley at su.health@uleth.ca.
