Summer Session I courses to be hosted online

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

Dear students, faculty, and staff,

At the University of Lethbridge, the safety of our students, and of the community, is our top concern; as well, we endeavour to set an example in following all of the public health guidelines as closely as possible.

We have made the decision to cancel, or move online where possible, all currently scheduled face-to-face courses for Summer Session I. Decisions for subsequent summer sessions and for Full Summer Session opportunities whose start dates can be delayed (e.g. co-ops) will be made at a later date.

Registration will be re-opening on Wednesday, Apr. 1 at 7:30 a.m. for summer 2020 and fall 2020. In the summer timetable, many courses have been timetabled for online delivery and in the coming days more courses may be added or changed to online delivery formats. Check the timetable regularly for new and updated summer course offerings and special scheduling notes. If you were previously registered in a summer course, you may hear from the academic unit delivering the course regarding its new online delivery format. If you have any questions about summer course offerings, please contact the academic unit delivering the course or your academic advising or student program offices.

We are doing our best to put into place new opportunities, such as online courses, and to adjust start dates and deadlines for some programs.  Please remember that with co-ops, placements, practica, and other work-integrated learning opportunities, some of these can take place remotely or we may be able to delay start dates.

If you are in a program that requires a practicum or placement your Faculty coordinator will communicate with you prior to the start.  If you are registered for or are considering a co-op or an applied study course please consult the FAQ at https://www.uleth.ca/career-bridge/covid-19-faqs, and if you have more questions please reach out to a co-op coordinator if you have not already done so.

Our primary concern is safety: that of our students, and of the community.  We are doing our utmost to follow the guidelines and directives from Alberta Health, which means we are responding to changes as quickly as we can. Please check your email regularly so that we can communicate with you as quickly as possible in the event of further changes.

Stay safe!
