Paid applied studies position: Video editing and website design

This position involves providing video editing and website design for creation on an online, asynchronous behaviour change marketing course. You would be working with the Institute for Consumer and Social Well-being (ICSW), reporting to the director, Dr. Debra Basil. 

In this position, you would edit and compile video to assist in the development of a Behaviour Change Marketing online educational program for nonprofit organizations. You would help with the technological and production aspects of developing this multi-module, asynchronous online class.

Second, you would assist with the set-up and design of the online Moodle website that will house the course materials. You would be responsible for creating an organized and visually appealing space for the course.

Necessary job skills:

The successful candidate will be organized, reliable, creative and hard working. They will be able to work independently and as a team member, have a positive attitude, and a willingness to proactively seek solutions for problems they may encounter. They will have strong video editing and website design skills. No specific major is required, though both New Media and Marketing majors would provide helpful background.

Excellent performance can also result in a positive workplace reference. You can set your working hours and have flexibility during heavy workload periods in your other classes. Additionally, you would earn $18 per hour while earning course credit.

Term:

One applied studies position for the fall semester 2022. This is a paid position that involves 10 hours per week for 12 weeks. Wage is $18.00 per hour. Student must register for an applied study under the supervision of Dr. Debra Basil (Marketing Professor, Dhillon School of Business).
