New positions added to Budget Advisory Committee

In an effort to further broaden perspective and participation in the budget process, the University of Lethbridge is expanding representation on its Budget Advisory Committee (BAC).

New positions on the BAC include an academic staff member, a non-academic staff member, one undergraduate student and one graduate student. These four new members, as per BAC terms of reference, will be appointed by President & Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mike Mahon.

The Budget Advisory Committee’s role is to provide oversight of the budget process and make recommendations regarding budget priorities and allocations to President's Executive Council. The BAC facilitates an open budget process that allows for consultation with all University units, cultivates institutional trust and confidence, and is transparent and understandable.

By creating four additional seats on the BAC, the budget process will involve greater representation of our campus community for this critical exercise.
