April 15, 2019

As you are all aware, the new Science and Academic Building, the University’s largest capital construction project since the opening of University Hall, will be opening in September.

As you can appreciate, a tremendous amount of work needs to take place over the next few months in preparation for its opening, including moving approximately 350 employees to the new facilities, completing the final construction phases, commissioning the building systems and transitioning to full building operations. Therefore, over the next few months, Facilities teams will be dedicated to this project.

As a result, Facilities staff may not be able to respond to non-emergency requests immediately. Safety remains our top priority and any work needed to maintain safety or to deal with emergency issues will continue to take precedence.

We pride ourselves on providing the best possible and most timely service and assistance we can, and we endeavour to continue doing so to the utmost of our ability. We thank everyone for their understanding and patience. Please be assured we will respond to requests as soon as possible.
