The University of Lethbridge will lower its flags to half-staff on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 to recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women in Canada.
Established in 1991 by the Government of Canada, this day marks the anniversary of the murders of 14 young women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal, and is a time for communities to reflect on actions to eliminate violence against women.
