The Department of Psychology Colloquium Series — Couple Therapy and the Social Brain in Addiction with Dr. Bonnie Lee

Thursday, Feb. 2 | 4 to 5 p.m.

Markin Hall 1040

The focus on the individual has obscured the social and relationship difficulties that accompany many neuropsychiatric disorders.

In this talk, the concept of the social brain is used to explore the relative advantage of a new systemic couple therapy model in producing significant interrelated clinical outcomes over conventional individual treatment for addiction.

Interdisciplinary conversation among researchers in neuroscience, primate and evolutionary studies, health and social sciences and other disciplines is encouraged at the end of this talk.
