The University of Lethbridge expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of alumnus Jim Hillyer (BA '99), who passed away suddenly March 23, 2016 in Ottawa.
Hillyer, 41, represented Lethbridge as a Member of Parliament from 2011 to 2015, after which he was re-elected in the newly-created Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding. He was in Ottawa serving his riding at the time of his death.
Jim Hillyer is survived by his wife Olivia and their four children.
