Condolence Notice - Betty Shipley

The University of Lethbridge expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Betty Shipley, a longtime former U of L employee, who passed away Monday, Dec, 8, 2014 at the age of 71 years.

Betty first came to the University in 1970, working in an administrative support role for the dean of the Arts & Science department. She would eventually move to the School of Management as an administrative assistant in 1981 and continued in that capacity until her retirement in 2001, after 31-plus years of service.

BETTY JEAN “BJ” VASEK

The beloved wife of David Vasek, of Lethbridge, Betty passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre, on Monday, December 8th, 2014 at the age of 71 years. She is the loving mother of one son, Steve (Laura) Shipley of Edmonton. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ken and Allan Halvorsen.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
