The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rose Primachuk, who passed away on Aug. 26 at the age of 89.
Primachuk was a long-serving employee of the U of L. After a 21-year career with the City of Lethbridge, she began working at the U of L in 1970. In 1973, she moved to Campus Planning where she was executive secretary to the vice-president until her retirement in 1990.
She was introduced to music at a young age, first the mandolin, then the piano and the violin. Primachuk also played with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra for 55 years. She was a world traveler, visiting many countries around the world. A full obituary is available online at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 5 at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church located at 411 11 St. S. The U of L will lower its flag that day in honour of Primachuk.
