Condolence Notice — Dr. Wayne Edwards

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Dr. Wayne Edwards, who passed away on Tuesday, April 13 at the age of 66 due to complications from COVID-19.

Born in Trinidad, Edwards, a physician, and his family immigrated to Nova Scotia in the mid-1990s. In 2003, the family relocated to Lethbridge where Edwards initially practiced at the Bigelow Fowler Clinic South. He later opened a private clinic and his practice included working at the U of L’s Health Centre.

An obituary is available online at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A private funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 17 at 10 a.m. The service will be live streamed and can be accessed through his online obituary or St. Augustine’s Anglican Church Facebook page.

In honor of Edwards, the U of L will lower its flags on Monday, April 19.
