Condolence Notice — Dr. Aziz Choudry

The University of Lethbridge was saddened to learn of the recent passing of Dr. Aziz Choudry and extends its sincere condolences to his former colleagues, friends and family.

Choudry became an associate member of the U of L’s School of Graduate Studies on April 1, 2021 and was serving as a committee member for a Master of Arts student. He recently became a visiting professor at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa and before that, had been an associate professor at McGill University since 2008.

Choudry is remembered as an innovative researcher, author and educator who inspired students and colleagues alike to challenge social norms to advance social justice and learning advocacy. In honour of Choudry, the U of L will lower its flag on Friday, July 2.
