The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Theodore (Ted) Haynes, who passed away on Tuesday, January 24 at the age of 85.
Haynes was born and raised in Taber and enjoyed a career in teaching and education administration. After starting his teaching career in Provo, Utah, Haynes and his family moved to Magrath where he taught high school and was vice-principal for 27 years. Haynes was active in many community endeavours, including service as a U of L Senator from 1994 to 1997. A full obituary can be found on the Salmon & Sons Funeral Home.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 28 at the Magrath Garden Place Church at 2 p.m. The U of L will lower its flag on Saturday in honour of Haynes.
