Volunteer Coordinator
Accountable to the Executive Director/Station Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator works as part of a team and is expected to be involved and take responsibility in many areas of the station’s operation.
Background:
- This is a volunteer position requiring a time commitment of 5 hours per week with a larger commitment during special times of the year for CKXU (i.e – Rush Week, FunDrive, etc.)
Specific areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate volunteers through the orientation process, and the training steps required for each volunteer to become a full member;
- Keeping volunteers aware of any and all CKXU events;
- Coordinating volunteers for events (fundraising, AGM, and as needed)
- Creation and management of all individual volunteer files and database;
- Maintain posted office hours;
Qualifications:
- Experience working in campus/community radio or other not-for-profit organization
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good computer skills (email, Excel, Word)
- Familiar with the University of Lethbridge and the general Lethbridge area
- Ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willing to work flexible hours and weekends
