Production Coordinator
Accountable to the Program Director, the Production Coordinator works as part of a team and is responsible for all aspects of in-house production at CKXU-FM.
Background:
- This is a volunteer position requiring a time commitment of 5 hours per week with a larger commitment during special times of the year for CKXU (i.e – Rush Week, FunDrive, Love & Records etc.)
Specific areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creation of Station ID’s, Radio Ads and Show Promos for on-air use;
- Training volunteers on the proper use of production equipment;
- Overseeing and organizing the production schedule;
- Seeking out and organizing volunteer vocal talent for use in PSA’s and Advertisements;
- Lead audio engineer on live on-air performances at CKXU and on-location broadcast;
- Striking and upholding a production committee ;
Qualifications:
- Experience working in campus/community radio or other not-for-profit organization is an asset but not required
- Understanding of basic advertising and marketing principles
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with audio production software such as Logic Pro, Protools, Audacity
- Ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willing to work flexible hours and weekends
