Call for Papers - Philosophy Undergraduate Student Conference (Tackling the Important Issues)

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

The Department of Philosophy invites high-quality undergraduate student submissions for our upcoming conference (fun will be had!). Papers may be on any philosophical subject, and may include work originally written for other purposes (such as coursework). Individuals from groups typically underrepresented in philosophy are particularly encouraged to apply. Papers will be blind-refereed with notices of acceptance sent out by mid-February.

Papers should be appropriate for a 20-25 minute presentation. Students who have been accepted can rest assured that faculty members will be happy to advise them on how to prepare their paper for presentation.

Submissions Deadline: Friday, January 27, 2023

Submissions and questions can be forwarded to: Katharina Stevens (katharina.stevens@uleth.ca)

Note: Submissions should be readied for blind review, with all identifying information (such as name and student number) removed.

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHETHER YOU HAVE A PAPER THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH, YOU PROBABLY DO – AND THIS WILL BE GREAT, YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS IT!!!
