The fall protection system on University Hall's rooftop requires replacement with a redesigned system. This will allow workers to be protected from a fall hazard when working in close proximity to the roof edge and while using a suspended scaffold system. Work is scheduled to take place October 22 through October 31.
The work involved includes significant hammer drilling on the precast concrete which surrounds the penthouse of University Hall and has potential to impact offices, labs and classrooms below. Noise level testing will occur early in the project to determine the extent of the noise impact. Should noise negatively impact any academic activities, work will be scheduled accordingly to reduce or eliminate this issue.
Should there be any concerns with this work, please contact Michael Pinder, Manager, Building Maintenance (403-795-7470).
Thank you for your patience as we upgrade this critical safety system.
