ASBESTOS REMOVAL - University Hall Level 1, Section C
Please be advised between September 4 - September 6, contractors will be performing an asbestos removal in a portion of University Hall level 1, section C. Containment of the area will be set up within a closed off and vacated room. During this time, there will be no admittance into this area.
This is a normal procedure for any renovation project executed involving asbestos abatement. Removals are completed consistent with the requirements of the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code, and performed by trained and certified workers pursuant to the required code of practice to ensure that there is no health risk to the public or construction workers. Air clearance samples will be taken by an independent environmental technologist and the reports will be posted on Campus Safety’s website.
