The Canadian University and College Blood Donor Challenge is an annual event that encourages 22 post-secondary institutions from across the country to recruit blood donors. The U of L will be recognized for achieving the highest number of blood donations and new blood donors in 2017-2018.
Nancy Walker, VP Finance & Administration will accept the award on behalf of the University of Lethbridge as part of a Power of All event held on campus. University of Lethbridge staff, faculty and student recruiters will share how students can help support the needs of patients like Kate Potts, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2001 and thanks to the generosity of blood donors is currently a student at the University of Lethbridge, looking forward to a career in Human Resources.
