Pre-departure International Travel Risk Management Orientations for Fall 2014 semester

University of Lethbridge students traveling abroad in conjunction to University sponsorship- activities funded by UofL or involve academic work for credit, are required to attend a pre-departure orientation prior to their departure.

The pre departure orientation covers UofL policy and procedures in relation to international travel and provides resources on how you can protect your health, safety and security abroad. Although the orientation is designed for students on exchange, practicum, and co-op opportunities, it is an orientation open to all University travellers.

The in person orientation occurs in a classroom setting with connecting video conference to the Calgary and Edmonton campuses. The orientation takes approximately 1 hour to complete and prior to attending it is recommended that country specific reports pertaining to your travel be reviewed at travel.gc.ca .

The FALL 2014 pre-departure orientation schedule is as follows:

LOCATIONS:

Lethbridge: Room B716, University Hall

Calgary Campus: Room S6050, Bow Valley College

Edmonton Campus: Alumni house videoconference room, Concordia University

October 22, 2014             3:00pm-4:00pm

November 18, 2014         11:00am-12:00pm

December 10, 2014          2:00pm-3:00pm
