Looking for an engaging and rewarding experience with a great UofL campus-local organization? Of course you are! Students! Did you know that you are already a member of the CKXU Radio Society? Cool, huh? CKXU does a number of fantastic things around the campus and community of Lethbridge besides broadcast awesome radio 24hours/day 7days/week. Consider this:
- CKXU 88.3 FM is the one of the only alternative programming media resourses in Lethbridge!
- CKXU has approximately 100 active members ranging from students to community members!
- CKXU operates with three hired staff; one full-time, two part time and an assortment of coordinators managing things in the realm of audio production, marketing, fundraising, finance, volunteer managerment!
- CKXU relies on a Board of Directors to strategically plan and guide the society as a whole!
- CKXU puts on a whole pile of awesome events and fundraisers throughout the year!
Anyway. We're having an Annual General Meeting On September 28th 2014 in TH 204 to discuss everything CKXU's been up to in the last year and you're invited!! We'll be going over things such as the 2013-2014 budget, strategic plan, hearing from the staff, coordinators, and board execuatives about what's in store for CKXU in the upcoming year. Plus... There's free pizza and coffee!! Awesome right?
