Asbestos removal - University Hall D766

An asbestos removal project will take place in the area of University Hall, D766 beginning June 15 and concluding June 16.

A containment will be set up. During this time D7H3 corridor will be closed. Access to D770/D776 can be obtained through E7 or D7H4.

This is a normal procedure for any renovation project executed involving asbestos abatement. Removal will be completed consistent with the requirements of the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code, and performed by trained and certified workers pursuant to the required code of practice to ensure that there is no health risk to public or construction workers. Air monitoring will be completed by an independent environmental technologist and the reports will be posted on the Safety Services website.
