Youth Science Camp Leader
Destination Exploration Youth Science Programs is seeking an enthusiastic individual who loves to make kids love science. This position will be responsible for engaging grades K-6 students in a variety of on-campus day camps between June 13 and August 26, 2016.
Duties:
- Develop, prepare, and deliver five-day Learning Quest science camps on campus to children aged 5-11.
- Work collaboratively with other Leaders to develop activities and to create a safe, educational and fun environment for the campers.
- Effectively supervise all participants at all times while encouraging interactive learning and a team atmosphere.

Qualifications:
- Experience working with school aged children.
- Experience developing educational material preferred.
- Have a strong background in a science related discipline.
- Have a general knowledge of the Social Sciences and Humanities
- Possess a current First Aid Certification and a clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with parents and faculty and to act as an Ambassador of the U of L within our community.
- Be creative, resourceful, and a team player.

Hours for this position are typically between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and may include some early shifts (8:00) and some later shifts (5:00) as well as occasional weekend hours.
