The University of Lethbridge wishes to express its sincere condolences to Chancellor Emeritus James D. Horsman and family following the passing of his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Horsman, on Friday, January 22, 2016.
Horsman served as U of L Chancellor from 1999-2003 and along with Betty established and supported the James and Elizabeth Horsman Award for third- or fourth-year students majoring in political science or history.
The retired couple was residing in Medicine Hat where Betty had worked for years as a teacher in the Medicine Hat School District and Jim served five terms as MLA for the area.
