TAKE OUR KIDS TO WORK DAY
The "Take Our Kids to Work Day" occurs across Canada on November 4, 2015. The program is organized by "The Learning Partnership", a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing together business, education, labor, policy makers and the community to develop partnerships that strengthen public education in Canada. The program brings together parents, relatives, friends of families, teachers and people in workplaces across Canada to contribute to the career development of grade nine students as they explore and plan their own careers. Further information on the program is available on-line at the Learning Partnership webpages.
If you are hosting or asking another University employee to host a student under the program and at the University of Lethbridge first ensure that you receive approval from your department head or the department head where the child wishes to spend the day. Please also contact Risk & Safety Services to receive University documentation in relation to the Program and to ensure a risk assessment has been completed for the job/work site/tasks the child may be exposed to.
