Genocide Awareness Project displays on campus

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

Without any advance notification, The Genocide Awareness Project has set up displays on the University of Lethbridge campus.

The group is currently displaying material in the area of the bus loop and the Students’ Union patio.

Individuals will be able to choose to walk by the display or not. Signage at either end of the display area will be erected to better inform students, faculty, staff and community members of the display’s location and the nature of its contents. U of L Security Officers will also be present to advise of alternate routes if individuals want to avoid the area.

In the past, this debate has been very emotional for some participants. If there are members of our community that are feeling distress over this situation, please seek assistance through Counselling Services (http://www.uleth.ca/counselling/) at 403-317-2845 or through the University of Lethbridge Employee and Family Assistance Program at 1-800-663-1142.
