The family of Lana Cooke is deeply saddened to announce her passing on May 10, 2015 after a very brave three and a half year battle with cancer.
Lana worked as a secretary in the Department of Political Science from 1976 to 1987 when her family relocated to Vancouver where she embarked on a 27 year career at Simon Fraser University.
Lana will be greatly missed by her friends and family. It was at Lana’s request that there be no service. For anyone wishing to make a memorial donation, friends and colleagues at SFU have set up the Lana Cooke International Mobility Award Endowment Fund.
