VoIP telephone emergency notification testing - Thursday, Apr. 16

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

The University of Lethbridge will once again conduct a test of the Emergency Notification System through the VoIP telephone system on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

The test will take place between 12:05 and 12:15 p.m. and feature a message that will be received by each VoIP phone as an audio message and by phone display.

The message is a recording and is set to loop, so people may hear the message more than once. If you are speaking to someone on the phone when the message begins to play, you will hear the message but the party you are speaking with will not and the message will not disconnect the call.

Following the conclusion of the test, the emergency message can be removed from phones by selecting 'Exit' on the phone display.
