Water Talks at UofL - Jaimie Klemish

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Jaimie's primary interest is the effect of natural and anthropogenic disturbances on amphibian and reptile populations. An undergraduate study abroad and a Fulbright scholarship spurred her interest in Neotropical amphibians and reptiles, particularly those of Brazil and Peru.

Jaimie’s work contributes to the Forest Watershed and Riparian Disturbance Project (FORWARD) III, a multi-disciplinary collaborative effort to study the effects of oil sands and forestry industries on the environment in order to aid management of the Canadian boreal forest. She studies the response of native amphibians (wood frog, Lithobates sylvaticus, boreal chorus frog, Pseudacris maculata) to reclaimed wetlands in the Athabasca oil sands of northeastern Alberta, Canada.
