Pipeline Politics: A View of Alberta from British Columbia

The Department of Political Science and the Association of Political Science Students are pleased to host Mike DeJong, a former British Columbia cabinet minister, for a talk titled Pipeline Politics: A View of Alberta from British Columbia.

DeJong was first elected to the B.C. legislature in 1995 as a member of Gordon Campbell's Liberal government. Over the next 30 years, he served in numerous prominent cabinet positions including Finance, Health, Forests, Labour and Aboriginal Affairs. He was also twice named B.C.'s Attorney General. DeJong earned a BA at Carleton University and a law degree at the University of Alberta.
