Applying for scholarships and grants doesn't have to be intimidating. This practical, supportive workshop helps graduate students get started with confidence.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, we plan to host a hybrid session timed to support planning and drafting ahead of the internal scholarship deadline in May.
We'll break down how funding applications work, what reviewers look for, and how to clearly communicate your goals and research ideas.
Hosted by Deirdre Coburn, Graduate Funding Facilitator, we begin to explore the world of scholarship and grant writing.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key components of a strong scholarship or grant application
- Identify what reviewers are looking for and how to align with funding criteria
- Draft and refine clear, compelling statements about their goals and research
- Create a realistic plan to prepare materials ahead of the May deadline
You'll leave with practical tools, templates and next steps to move your application forward with less stress and more clarity.
