Albéric Aurtenèche - Contemplating and Questioning Reality

The French Language Centre and the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics are delighted to welcome Canadian filmmaker Albéric Aurtenèche to Lethbridge and to our University.

French-born, Québécois filmmaker Albéric Aurtenèche will speak about his career and making movies in Canada and elsewhere. Having directed the short film, L’appel du vide in 2008, Aurtenèche won a Jutra Award in 2011 for short film M’ouvrir. In 2017, his Sigismond sans image, also a multiple-award winner, was part of the Internation competition at Clermont-Ferrand. These films, along with his full-length movie, La Contemplation du mystère (2021), explors a common thread: questioning reality.
