Please allow extra time for your commute to and from the University of Lethbridge as a result of the ongoing construction work on Whoop-Up Drive.
While the hope is that two lanes will be open in each direction by the time classes begin on Monday, Sept. 8, weather or construction delays may impact progress. In the meantime, the City of Lethbridge has implemented peak hour lane changes to reduce congestion.
As of Aug. 20, westbound traffic has access to two lanes from 2 to 8 p.m. During this time, eastbound traffic is reduced to one lane. Zipper merges remain in effect.
For the morning commute, two eastbound lanes will be open for those travelling from the west side.
Motorists are asked to drive with care and obey the posted speed limits.
