Become a Peer Supporter

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

The Peer Support Program is a joint endeavour between the Student Success Centre and Counselling Services on campus. It provides a casual, drop-in environment for students in order to give them short-term support and help them to access other resources. Peer Supporters are therefore expected to provide warm, genuine, empathetic support utilizing active listening, referrals, university information, and practical assistance in a respectful and safe manner. Peer Supporters will be required to attend training sessions prior to the Peer Support Sessions. Training and Peer Support Sessions will take place Mondays from 11am - 1pm throughout the Spring semester. If you're interested in helping out, please submit a resume and cover letter to student.success@uleth.ca.
