ADVICE
- Defer non-essential travel to parts of Maui affected by wildfires – particularly West Maui – until at least 12 August. Travel to unaffected parts of East Maui is feasible with precautions.
- Monitor the Maui County Emergency Alert and National Weather Service websites for up-to-date information on transportation restrictions, wildfires and related warnings. Follow all official directives, including any evacuation orders. In the event of an emergency in an area impacted by telecommunications disruption, call the local police department directly.
When contacting International SOS (ISOS) for evacuation support, they will make their best effort as they work through various challenges like airspace and any road or airport closures, flight cancellations, and declines in infrastructure to get you to the nearest safe haven.
Call the ISOS Philadelphia Assistance Center Scholastic Dedicated Line: (1) (215) 942 8478 and quote the UL membership number found HERE.
